There will be several improvements to the UICS website this year.
Volunteers are welcome at UICS. We could not do the work we do without the assistance of a caring community. Volunteers are needed in the Child Development Center to read to preschoolers, share artistic talents and mentor children who would benefit from spending time with a caring adult. Volunteers with specialized skills such as data entry, graphic design and marketing are needed. Volunteers who prefer group assignments are needed as painters, landscapers,gardeners and stockers for the food pantry. All volunteers must attend an orientation session. Volunteers who have direct access to children and will be in the center for an extended period of time (daily or monthly but on a continuous basis) shall be subject to a background screening and TB test, prior to volunteering in the center.
