Head Start began in 1965 and has a long history of delivering comprehensive services. Head Start has historically set the bar for excellence in the early childhood field by emphasizing cognitive, social, emotional and physical development as well as parent involvement. We are a collaborating agency with The Family Conservancy. We offer Early Head Start and Head Start services to age and income eligible children. Early Head Start and Head Start services include:
- Developmental screenings
- Dental screenings
- Growth assessments
- Educational experiences
- Health (lead, vision and hearing screenings)
- Parent involvement opportunities
- Disability services
- Nutritious meals
*Early Head Start is for children from birth to 3 years *Head Start is for children from 3 years to 5 years
